The Brush Low Chair is inspired by the intimate act of brushing another person's hair, a gesture of care, trust, and closeness.
Natural human hair becomes both upholstery and biomaterial, preserving a physical trace of the body while questioning conventional ideas of permanence and value. The work investigates how gestures of care can become embedded within furniture.
It explores intimacy, memory, and the emotional materiality of domestic life.
