The Contemplation Stool combines a sculptural ash wood base with a tattooed cotton cushion.
Developed in collaboration with artist Nikolaj Bengtson, each piece translates tattooing from skin to textile, moving text beyond the body and into domestic space. The work explores writing as a spatial medium, one that can inhabit objects as well as skin.
It explores contemplation, memory, and the objects that quietly accompany our inner lives.
